I teach preschool Spanish using games, songs, books and many different activities. Some of the goals through the year are to help the children hear and recognize the Spanish language. Research has shown that children under the age of six have their language centers wide open. This is the most opportune time for children to quickly learn a different language, especially if that language is spoken with the correct accent and inflections. With this in mind, I hope to teach the following Spanish words and concepts.
Spanish Greetings
Colors
Shapes
Body Parts
Foods
Clothing
Animal Names
Animal Sounds
Spanish Dances
Spanish Traditions
and much more......
Additionally, during our Spring Sing Concert, children will be performing Spanish songs which they have learned in class. Click on the pull-down menu for newsletters, photos and other information concerning Spanish lessons.
